Activist Boniface Mwangi and Kenya Film Classification Board CEO, Ezekiel Mutua on Tuesday traded blows online.
The former Starehe MP aspirant accused the moral policeman of being behind the fall of the Kenya Union of Journalists (KUJ). In fact he says, Mutua switched the list of winners at the KUJ awards back in 2005 when he served as the union’s Secretary General.
An article published in the Standard, Mutua apparently made away with the winners prize money and 20 television sets.
Not one to go down without a fight, Mutua told off the “UnBounded” author saying: “Your infantile thinking and juvenile delinquency is the reason you couldn’t win an MCA seat. Useless Activism.”
But the drama did not stop there. The Ukweli Party leader defended BBC’s Larry Madowo who in his article “Kenya’s homophobia is not the only dangerous thing about the ban on ‘Rafiki'” on the Washington Post described Mutua as a ‘hopelessly conceited leader who once compared himself to the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.’
The KFCB CEO dismissed Madowo and instead asked him to ‘get a wife and settle down.’
@LarryMadowo is a successful journalist but he is no paragon of virtue. He has no moral authority to lecture anyone about life, family or Godliness. Get a wife Chief and settle down!
